If You're Not First You're Last Video

The only time competition should be used is when you dominate the competition. Not everyone can get the sale, win the game, or lead the marketplace. During economic contractions, it becomes much more difficult to sell your products, maintain your customer base, and gain market share. Mistakes become more costly, and failure becomes a real possibility for all those who don’t dominate. You will learn how to sell your products when others cannot and take market share from your competitors.

Grant’s book, If You’re Not First, You’re Last, claims its history as a NY Times Best-Seller and serves as the playbook for boosting sales, increasing margins, and creating new opportunities no matter the economy.

He gives exact Strategies to:

  • Convert the Unsold to Sold

  • Maximize Time to Maximize Sales

  • Turn Every Objection into a DONE Deal

  • Maintain an Unreasonable Selling Attitude

  • And much more…

In the real world, not everyone gets a prize just for showing up. You either win or you lose. If you’re in business during a down economy, winning means one thing: being first. Let your rivals complain about miserable selling climates! They can hide beneath their excuses as you dominate your market. Remember, in this world, if you’re not first, you’re last

Finding and exploiting opportunities in the darkest of times Review by Charles Ashbacher

Opportunities exist in the darkest of times; in many cases they have the most potential when things are the worst. The major recession of 2008-2009 is no different, and the primary purpose of this book is to convince you that you should pursue the opportunities that are available. Some of the actions Cardone advocates take courage, while others simply take persistence and energy.

This is a well-written book. It is packed with useful ideas that you can put into practice immediately. I did, and I have already earned money that I would not have had! Read it, apply it, and you will do well. I've always been a top salesman, so I usually resist reading someone else's ideas, but Grant Cardone really knows what he is talking about. While this book is written to help you thrive in spite of the recession, his ideas will do you well from now on.

This is the most incredible sales book. I have been in sales for 25 years. I have read many books and this is the first book that has made a huge difference in my productivity.
I will only be reading books Grant Cardone from now on. He is direct, to the point and a joy to read. I have given many of my friends this book as a gift and we get together
to talk about it. This book helped me to let go of areas that my mind was holding on to and would not let go of. I feel completely renewed and refreshed. My business has exploded has a result. I can honestly say Grant Cardone's books are the only books to read if you want to be a major success, not waste your time and have the time of your life.

Grant has a way getting to the point and being very direct that is refreshing. With his real life experiences he had me on the front of the chair the entire time. There are so many bullet points in his book that my coach used it and that's how I found out about it. It really is for anyone, whether or not YOU THINK your in sales or not. I have told all of my friends about the book because I think it is that good. So, what are you waiting for. Invest in yourself and your family and get one for each of your family, staff or team and teach on it. You will be super happy that you did.
Million Dollar Advice for $16 Review by Jim Meskimen Jim Meskimen

In this book, which I read in two sittings, Grant Cardone, international sales expert and very good writer, shares his no B.S. viewpoint on creating affluence through production, intelligence and a vigorous work ethic.
I found myself using the book as a true workbook; the chapters all wind up with a little quiz and I marked mine all up, and I made pages of ideas of ways I can expand my business and create more opportunities, regardless of "This economy".
I recommend this book to absolutely anyone who is willing to be proactive about improving their bottom line, but is confused about how to go about it and proceed in an orderly manner.
Good fundamentals are what makes for enduring books on business and enterprise, and this one is full of excellent fundamentals, and how to use them.
A million dollar value for $16? That's what it looks like to me. Jump on it.

This book is yet another great product that Grant has produced. I have all his video programs and cd's. This is the FIRST book I have purchased from him and found it just as easy to follow as his videos and cd's. The book is an easy read - almost the type you just don't want to put down! Seemed for me to have a lot of Ah-ha moments......I am in automotive sales for Acura, Mazda, and Mercedes-Benz and feel this will help reconnect me with my customers on a better level. It's not about "Selling" as much as it is about how to keep selling. Cover to cover it has a ton of great ideas.......it's up to you to use them!

ere's a book that's actually going to make a difference in the way you go about business and life. Grant Cardone doesn't sugar-coat a thing. He tells it as it is and sends you (the reader) down the road where excuses are poison and massive action leads to a place of not only moderate success, but total domination of your marketplace.

Anyone who is serious about using the current economy to their advantage (no matter what the economy looks like in that moment) MUST read this book that is sure to hit all the BESTSELLER lists. I have no doubt.

If You're Not First, You're Last: Sales Strategies to Dominate Your Market and Beat Your CompetitionI read constantly, but because there are so many books and so little time I am very selective on what I actually look at. There are very few books that have actually changed my entire perspective on the world and altered my thinking... "If You're Not First, You're Last" by Grant Cardone is one of them.

While others are worried about the economy, and what "others" are saying and doing. Grant writes about how to succeed in TODAYS market... There is only a bad economy if you create it.... there is only down time, if you let there be. This book preaches to anyone that wants to take their sales either to the next level, or get themselves out of ineffective sales techniques. Grant's book will truly show you, that if you are not first.... your last..

love the writing and voice of the book. I can tell by reading it that Cardone is an author that has done it, he's been in sales and done extremely well. The story in the last chapter was my favorite. At first I thought it was going to be a waste of time and the author was just going to praise his wife and his ego, but it was a moving story about how he met and pursued his wife. Not only did he score the love of his life, but related all of the sales strategies in the book to the action he took to get a date with his now wife.

Grant is so clear that our life depends on selling!! We either close them or they close us. The key, as Grant says, is that once we are sold we can sell. "To the degree we are sold and become unreasonable in our quest, we will succeed!" That has become one of my daily affirmations.

Grant has taken the subject of selling and made it interesting, easy to apply and intense! The information is easy to get and the techniques are so valuable.

I had one sales guy that just couldn't close a deal! After reading his book on Sell to Survive he started closing! This one should make him a star!

Thanks Grant! YOU THE MAN!

he theme of the book is that during economic downturns, it's tougher for salespeople to sell their products, maintain existing clients and acquire new ones. Cardone first explains 4 possible responses to an economic downturn and why aggressively 'advancing and conquering' is the winning response. He then goes on to suggest a number of selling strategies including how to activate existing clients, old clients, new clients and second sales - in addition to explaining how to ask for referrals. He explains the importance of Price and delivering at "wow" levels. Then he explains the importance of "acting hungry", how to develop effective marketing campaigns and, how to define your target market in a downturn. He shares his ideas on how to maximize the scheduling of your day and also why having a financial plan and budget is critical to your success.

F YOU'RE NOT FIRST, YOU'RE LAST reads the catchy title of this book and if the reader is not careful about peeking into a motivationally challenging way of looking at success, the subtitle may go unnoticed: SALES STRATEGIES TO DOMINATE YOUR MARKET AND BEAT YOUR COMPETITION. Author/motivator Grant Cardone doesn't dance around issues. He confronts those fortunate enough to purchase this book with the fact that yes, the market is scary right now so gear up and take advantage of the opportunity that while colleagues may be cowering in fear, you can jump into the positive mode of thinking and come out on top. 'Problems are opportunities, and conquered opportunities equal money earned' is just one of the motivating phrases that jump off every page of this book. Topics such as 'An advance-and-conquer attitude', 'Why dominance means disregarding social norms', and 'How to deliver at "WOW" levels' may give an idea of the strengths of Cardone's writing, but at the same time Cardone won't allow his reader to simply buy another self-help book to stash on the shelf: he demands much of those smart enough to jump onto his rocket to success.

“If You’re Not First, You’re Last’ is my favorite book by Grant. I bought 30 of them and passed it out to my guys and told them: ‘This is a great book, but by the time you finish reading it, it will be your owner’s manual.’ If you don’t operate by this book, then get out of the business. Go get a regular 9-5 and leave this to the ones who really want it.”
